BRIEF: Girl, 15, found after disappearing from West Garfield Park neighborhood

April 02--UPDATE: A 15-year-old girl who went missing five days ago from the city's West Side has been found safe, police said.

Shatara Cheateam was last seen March 27 on the 4400 block of West Carroll Avenue in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, police said in an alert issued Wednesday.

Shatara was found safe, police said in a statement issued about 4 p.m. Thursday.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call the Area North Special Victims Unit at 312-744-8266.
