BRIEF: Girl, 14, went missing in West Lawn neighborhood

Nov. 28--A 14-year-old girl went missing Friday on the Southwest Side in the city's West Lawn neighborhood, police said.

Samantha "Sam" Rodriguez was last seen in the 3600 block of West 66th Place. She was wearing a beige hooded sweat jacket, a beige shirt, black leggings and black gym shoes. Police said she may also be carrying a black backpack.

Samantha is known to frequent the areas near 38th Street and California Avenue, and 41st Street and Francisco Avenue, police said.

She is described as a Hispanic girl with a medium complexion, brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 3 inches tall, and weighs about 110 pounds, said police.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call 911 or contact the Chicago Police Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
