BRIEF: Girl, 14, missing from Brighton Park for about 3 weeks

July 17--Police are asking for the public's help finding a 14-year-old girl who went missing about three weeks ago from the city's Brighton Park neighborhood.

Jessica Mendiola was last seen June 24 in the area of the 2900 block of West 39th Place. She is known to frequent the areas of 46th Street and Spaulding Avenue, 31st Place and Whipple Avenue, and 55th Street and Albany Avenue, police said.

Jessica is described as a Hispanic girl with a medium complexion, black hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet tall and weighs about 135 pounds, police said.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
