BRIEF: Girl, 14, reported missing from Southwest Side

Jan. 05--Police are searching for a 14-year-old girl who went missing on the Southwest Side last month.

Rachel Jackson was last seen Dec. 18 in the 2900 block of West 38th Place, according to a missing persons alert issued by detectives.

When she went missing, Rachel was wearing a pink coat, blue jeans and white shoes. She is known to frequent the East Garfield Park neighborhood, near Pulaski Road and Washington Boulevard, according to the alert.

Rachel is African-American, about 5-foot-2, weighs 135 pounds and has brown eyes and brown hair. She has a medium complexion.
