BRIEF: Girl, 14, missing from the city's Chatham neighborhood

Sept. 04--Police are asking for the public's help finding a 14-year-old girl who went missing in recent days from the city's Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

Ashley Davis was last seen in the area of the 7600 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue. Police said she frequents the area of the 6800 to 6900 block of South Indiana Avenue.

Ashley is described as a black girl with a brown complexion, black hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds, police said.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call the Chicago Police Area South Special Victims' Unit at 312-747-8274 or 911.
