Oct. 05--A 54-year-old Gary man died after a vehicle crash in northwest Indiana early Monday morning.
Joseph McInerney, of the 2400 block of Hovey Street in Gary, was pronounced dead 3:36 a.m. due to a blunt force trauma as a result of a motor vehicle accident, according to a news release from the Lake County coroner's office.
The accident happened in the 300 block of Route 41 in Schererville, according to the release.
The man was taken to Saint Margaret's Mercy Hospital where he later died.
The accident is still under investigation.
