April 19--Galaxy forward Giovani dos Santos was named Major League Soccer's player of the week on Tuesday following his two-goal performance in last week's 4-1 victory over the Houston Dynamo.
Dos Santos also had an assist, helping the Galaxy (3-1-2) rally from an early one-goal deficit to win on the road for the first time this season.
The multi-goal game was Dos Santos' first since joining the Galaxy and MLS last summer. In his brief MLS career, the Mexican international has five goals and seven assists in 13 MLS appearances.
The Galaxy are set to return to StubHub Center on Saturday, when they will play Real Salt Lake, the league's lone unbeaten team, at 7:30 p.m.
