BRIEF: Galaxy faces CSD Comunicaciones of Guatemala on Wednesday

Where: Estadio Cementos Progreso, Guatemala City, Guatemala.

Records: Galaxy 2-0-1 in Champions League play, CSD Comunicaciones 1-2-0.

Record vs. CSD Comunicaciones: 1-0.

Update: The Galaxy has already earned a spot in the knockout stage of the CONCACAF Champions League, so Coach Bruce Arena will hold his regulars out of Wednesday's group-play finale to prepare for Sunday's must-win Major League Soccer game in Kansas City. But the players he sends to Guatemala still have something to play for because seeding in the next round will be based on performances in group play, and a win over CSD Comunicaciones could push the Galaxy to the top of the table. CSD Comunicaciones, one of the most popular and successful clubs in Guatemalan soccer, lost 5-0 when it played the Galaxy in August at StubHub Center.
