BRIEF: Friday's recap: Mariners 5, White Sox 4

March 26--White Sox right-hander Jacob Turner gave up a two-run homer to Nelson Cruz in the ninth inning and a solo shot to Leonys Martin in the 10th as the White Sox lost to the Mariners 5-4 on Friday at Peoria Stadium. Austin Jackson hit a grand slam in the seventh inning to give the Sox a 4-2 lead.

At the plate: The Sox loaded the bases in the 10th, but Hector Sanchez was caught at home after Jason Coats' grounder to shortstop Luis Sardinas and the Sox didn't score.

On the mound: Sox left-hander Jose Quintana allowed two runs -- one earned -- on two hits with a walk and seven strikeouts over six innings.

In the field: Quintana's two-run first inning was marred by two wild pitches, a balk and shortstop Tyler Saladino's error.

Key number: 10.50 -- Turner's ERA this spring over 12 innings.

Up next: Vs. Reds, 2:05 p.m. Saturday; LH Brandon Finnegan vs. LH Carlos Rodon. At Dodgers, 9:05 p.m. Saturday; RH Carson Fulmer vs. RH Zach Lee.
