BRIEF: 'Friday Night Lights' cast to race McHenry County obstacle course

May 09--Some members of the "Friday Night Lights" cast are set to tackle an obstacle course in McHenry County in June, five years after the airing of the series finale.

Taylor Kitsch (Tim Riggins), Minka Kelly (Lyla Garrity), Chicago-area native Zach Gilford (Matt Saracen) and Aimee Teegarden (Julie Taylor) will train separately and reunite June 11 at the Spartan Super course in Richmond.

Marriott Rewards members have the chance to race the 8-10-mile course, which features 24-29 obstacles, alongside the cast.

Rewards members also can participate in a free Spartan workout session scheduled for 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Reach Fieldhouse, 1709 W. Chicago Ave.

The race comes a day after the ATX Television Festival celebrates the teenage drama with a cast and crew reunion June 10 in Texas, where the show was set.

"Friday Night Lights" aired 2006-11.
