BRIEF: Free waffles Friday in Chicago to celebrate new season of 'Fargo'

Oct. 01--Free waffles on a stick will be distributed in Pritzker Park on Friday to celebrate the second season of the "Fargo" television show.

The "Fargo" Waffle Wagon will be at the park, 310 S. State St., 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., a show spokesman said. The second chapter of "Fargo," which will follow murders tied to the mob, premieres at 9 p.m Oct. 12 on FX.

The wagon, which is also stopping in Boston and New York, is designed and styled after the 1970s setting of the new season. Patrick Wilson, Ted Danson, Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons star in the upcoming installment of "Fargo," which is a spinoff of the 1996 movie that starred Chicago-born Frances McDormand.
