BRIEF: Frankie Ballard, Chase Rice headline Windy City Smokeout lineup

Feb. 15--Frankie Ballard, Chase Rice and Old Dominion are slated to play the Windy City Smokeout country music festival in July, festival organizers announced Monday.

Passes went on sale 10 a.m. Monday for the annual festival, scheduled for July 15-17. A limited number of three-day passes are available for $110 and VIP passes for $300 via windycitysmokeout.com. Organizers expect more than 40,000 attendees at Grand Avenue near the Chicago River.

Ballard, 33, released his single "It All Started With a Beer" in November. Rice, 29, toured with Kenny Chesney last year and released his single "Whisper" this month. Old Dominion, a band that formed in Nashville, dropped its "Meat and Candy" album in November.

Other scheduled performers include: Big and Rich with Cowboy Troy, Billy Currington, Corey Smith, Phil Vassar, Jessie James Decker, Whiskey Myers, Walker Country and Whiskey Jam.

Kacey Musgraves, Chris Young and Lee Brice played last year's festival.
