BRIEF: Fox drama pilot 'A.P.B.' temporarily stops filming in Chicago

March 25--The Fox drama pilot "A.P.B." has temporarily stopped filming in Chicago after creator-writer David Slack left the project over creative differences, Deadline reported Thursday.

The Chicago Film Office confirmed that filming was halted, though there are plans to resume shooting Monday. It's unclear when production stopped.

The pilot, which stars Ernie Hudson and Natalie Martinez, follows a billionaire who buys a police precinct after his loved one is murdered.

Slack, who also co-executive produced CBS' "Person of Interest," tweeted Thursday that the decision "wasn't about happiness or stability. I asked to leave because they wanted to make a different show than I did."

Deadline reports "Burn Notice" creator Matt Nix has been brought in as writer-showrunner and reshoots are expected. "Sleepy Hollow" co-creator Len Wiseman is slated to remain the pilot's director.

Filming, which has taken place in the Old Irving Park neighborhood, was originally expected to continue through April 8. Chicago casting firm 4 Star Casting posted a casting call Thursday on Facebook for actors to play political operatives next week.
