April 28--Four people were hospitalized Wednesday after a car went through the window of a Planet Fitness gym in Torrance.
The crash was reported around 4:55 p.m. in the 20000 block of Hawthorne Boulevard, said Torrance police Lt. Robert Watt. The car went through the front of the gym and the entire vehicle came to a stop inside, he said.
Four people were transported to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Watt said. The woman behind the wheel was not injured.
"Our traffic investigators were on scene and will be conducting the investigation as far as what happened," Watt said.
It does not appear that drugs or alcohol were involved, he said.
