Jan. 25--Illinois received an oral commitment on Monday from Texas offensive guard Darta Lee.
Lee, a three-star recruit, also visited Colorado State. He's listed by 247Sports.com as the 85th best in the nation at his position.
Defensive end recruit Joshua Black, who decommitted from Illinois last week, made his oral commitment to Syracuse on Monday after visiting the school over the weekend.
Black is a 6-foot-3, 240-pound senior at Harlem High School in Machesney Park, Ill. The three-star recruit is rated the No. 69 strong-side defensive end in the 2016 class according to 247Sports.com's ranking.
Running back Kentrail Moran, from O'Fallon, was the Illini's top committed recruit but he decommitted on Friday.
Illinois landed three commitments this weekend from Philadelphia defensive end Tymir Oliver, Georgia defensive back Evan Jones and Georgia linebacker Christion Abercrombie.
