BRIEF: Former CPS CEO Ron Huberman lists Lincoln Square house for $1.367M

Nov. 02--Former Chicago Public Schools CEO Ron Huberman on Sunday listed his five-bedroom house in the Lincoln Square neighborhood on Chicago's North Side for $1.367 million.

A onetime Chicago police officer, Huberman, 43, led CPS from early 2009 until late 2010. He is now an executive at Chicago-based private equity firm Prairie Capital. Huberman and partner Darren DeJong paid $898,000 in 2010 for the three-story, 4,000-square-foot house.

Built in 2008, the house has three full and one half baths, three fireplaces, 8-foot solid cherry doors, millwork, crown moldings, surround sound throughout, two walk-in closets in the master bedroom, Brazilian cherry hardwood floors, a large pergola deck off the family room and a kitchen with stainless steel appliances, an island and a butler's pantry.

The house is on an extra-wide, 37-foot lot and has a heated driveway and a two-car garage.

Michael Rosenblum of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff declined to comment.
