Sept. 30--Former Chicago Bears center Roberto Garza has listed his four-bedroom, 4,270-square-foot house in Libertyville for $749,000.
Garza, 36, spent 10 years with the Bears until the team released him in April. Now a free agent, Garza is expecting to take a loss on the house in Libertyville, which he purchased in 2006 for $865,000.
Built in 1997, the brick house is in Libertyville's Daybreak Farms area and sits on a 1.07-acre parcel. Features include four baths, a two-story foyer, bay windows in the living and dining rooms, a first-floor library, a master suite with a Thermasol steam shower, a recently finished basement with a bar area and a gated workout area, and a large eat-in kitchen with a breakfast bar and island and a Viking double oven with a warming tray.
"He put $100,000 into finishing the basement," said listing agent Jane Lee of RE/MAX Top Performers. "It's a very nice home."
