BRIEF: Football recruit flips back to Illinois

Dec. 20--An Illinois recruit has had a change of heart -- again.

Offensive lineman Tre'Vour Simms, an East St. Louis product, has flipped back to Illinois after switching his oral commitment to Missouri last weekend on an official visit, according to 247sports.com. He had originally given his oral commitment to Illinois.

Simms had made the visit to Missouri with some high school teammates who also committed to the Tigers.

Simms, a three-star recruit, was recruited by Illinois assistant coach Mike Bellamy, the recruiting web site reported.

The 6-foot-5, 290-pound offensive lineman will join line coach A.J. Ricker who will return to Illinois after a one-year stint at Missouri.
