March 14--A Chicago firefighter and an 8-year-old boy were among three people injured in a fire Sunday morning in the city's Galewood neighborhood.
Shortly after 9:30 a.m., a small stove fire broke out at a residence in the 2200 block of North Newland Avenue, according to a Chicago Fire Department spokesman.
An 8-year-old suffered smoke inhalation and a 57-year-old man had burns to his hands, officials said. A firefighter at the scene slipped and injured his wrist.
All three were taken in good condition to Presence Resurrection Medical Center.
