Jan. 22--The weekend of the NBA All-Star Game is slated to feature one of the greatest matchups of all time: Cartoons against aliens with the talent of some of the NBA's biggest stars.
The TIFF Next Wave Film Festival in Toronto is hosting a live reading of the 1996 Michael Jordan movie "Space Jam" Feb. 13 to coincide with the All-Star Game in Toronto.
The movie, which also featured Wilmette-raised Bill Murray as a member of the Tune Squad, earned more than $230 million worldwide, according to the box office tracker Box Office Mojo.
Film festival reps have not announced who is participating in the reading but promise "an exciting lineup of talent from the sports and entertainment worlds."
Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James hinted at a "Space Jam" sequel last year.
