BRIEF: FBI seeks help ID'ing 'Skinny Jeans Bandit' in 5 bank robberies

Jan. 09--FBI officials are seeking the public's help in identifying a serial bank robber suspected in at least five bank robberies in suburban Illinois and Indiana.

The man, dubbed the Skinny Jeans Bandit, is suspected in a series of bank robberies beginning in November, according to an FBI news release.

The man is suspected of robbing or attempting to rob the following banks:

--BMO Harris Bank, 850 W. Army Trail Road, Carol Stream, on Nov. 21.

--Fifth Third Bank, 750 Northwest Highway, Cary, on Dec. 8.

--Chase Bank, 2301 Calumet Ave., Valparaiso, Ind., on Dec. 23.

--Chase Bank, 975 E. Belvidere, Grayslake, on Dec. 26.

--BMO Harris Bank, 10705 Broadway, Crown Point, Ind. on Jan. 7.

The man is described as light-skinned black or Hispanic, between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet tall with a smaller build.

He had cropped hair and a thin mustache and was well-dressed in "preppy clothing," which included skinny jeans, the FBI said.
