Dec. 23--The FBI on Wednesday offered a reward for help finding a man who has robbed two Far Southwest Side banks this month.
In the most recent robbery, the man walked into a US Bank at 11150 S. Western Ave. about 10:30 a.m. Dec. 14, went up to a teller and made a "threatening verbal demand" for money, according to a news release from the FBI's Chicago office.
The same man is suspected of robbing another US Bank branch, 11159 S. Kedzie Ave., about 9:15 a.m. Dec. 5, according to the FBI. The man made a threatening demand for money, then fled on foot.
No one was injured in either robbery.
The robber is described as a black man in his mid-30s, standing 6 feet to 6-foot-2, with a stocky build and weighing about 250 to 300 pounds, according to the FBI. In the most recent robbery, he wore dark clothing, including a black skull cap and a black hooded jacket.
