May 07--A Southwest Side bank was robbed Saturday morning.
It happened at 10:27 a.m. at the Byline Bank at 6257 S. Austin Ave. in the city's Clearing neighborhood, according to FBI spokesman Garrett Croon.
The robber, a white man about 6-foot-1 with "spiky" hair, was wearing a dark-colored bandanna around his forehead and another that was light blue around his face.
He threatened staffers, saying he had a weapon but not showing one, Croon said.
After taking money, the robber fled north through an alley.
