Dec. 04--A female died in a single-car crash in the East Side neighborhood on the Far South Side early Thursday, police said.
The fatal accident happened around 2:05 a.m. in the 11900 block of South Avenue O, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
The female, whose age was not immediately available, was driving a Dodge Neon when she crashed into a fence on the block and her car flipped.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, and no one else appeared to be inside the car, Alfaro said.
No other details were immediately available about the incident.
