Sept. 08--Perhaps it was the thrill of a surging Cubs squad that is usually an afterthought at this point in the season or the prospect of closing out a sweep on the lowly Arizona Diamondbacks.
Whatever the reason, on a steamy Sunday afternoon at Wrigley Field, Chicago police say 27-year-old Christopher Hilton was arrested after he ran on to the field during the game.
Now the Schiller Park fan faces a felony charge of criminal trespassing in a place of public amusement, according to police.
Hilton was taken into custody at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday after he ran onto the field and was taken down by security, police said.
