Aug. 06--Experience the sights and sounds of India on a nine-day spiritual tour offered by Learning Journeys. The excursion begins in Delhi where participants will tour the Swaminarayan temple complex, as well as help in the community kitchen of the Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, a Sikh house of worship that feeds close to 10,000 members a day.
They will also visit the sacred city of Varanasi to witness the Ganga Aarti devotional ritual and spend three days in Bodh Gaya at the annual Kalachakra Buddhist Festival, where they will be able to witness the Dalai Lama give his teachings. Other highlights include a traditional cooking demonstration at the home of a family and a sunrise boat trip down the Ganges River.
