March 31--Glendale College is offering an educational program, open to non-students, that examines the magic, witchcraft and religions of Bali.

The Indonesian island is a deeply spiritual place where spirits are said to occupy mountains and bridges, and daily offerings are made to maintain harmony in the world.

Highlights include visiting holy sites such as the Elephant Cave and Ubud's sacred Monkey Forest, attending the Wayang Kulit shadow puppet show and the Kecak fire and trance dance, trekking to terraced rice fields and waterfalls, and stopping at local artisan shops. Participants may volunteer to help teach English to elementary school students.

Dates: June 19-July 15. Pre-departure lectures June 13-17.

Price: $2,250. Includes 25 nights' accommodations in villas and hotels in Ubud, Pemuteran and Candidasa, many meals, land transport and activities. International airfare and fees not included.
