BRIEF: Ex-Bear Ray McDonald arrested for 2nd time in week

May 28--Ray McDonald's legal woes continued Wednesday when the former Bears defensive end was arrested yet again in Santa Clara, Calif., this time for violating a restraining order that had been put in place after Monday's incident.

McDonald's time with the Bears ended Monday after he was arrested in Santa Clara and charged with misdemeanor counts of domestic violence and child endangerment

McDonald was back in the Santa Clara County Jail on Wednesday evening after police said he returned to the residence at which Monday's altercation with his former fiancee occurred.

The Bears signed McDonald, 30, to a one-year contract in March even after multiple legal missteps in 2014 in which he was accused though never formally charged with assaulting women.

Shortly after Monday's arrest, the Bears terminated McDonald's contract and were left to deal with an avalanche of negative publicity regarding the saga.
