BRIEF: Evanston actress said she's often mistaken for male 'Road Trip' star

April 05--Lauren Lapkus starred in "Jurassic World" and "Orange is the New Black" but the Evanston native said she is often mistaken for other stars, including "Road Trip" actor DJ Qualls.

"People think I'm DJ. I mean, they don't think I'm him but they write to me everyday and tell me that we're siblings or something," Lapkus told Conan O'Brien on his talk show Monday. "I mean, he's great. I just like to be myself."

Lapkus, who trained at the iO Theater and attended DePaul University, said she is also mistaken for "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star Chelsea Peretti and "Last Man on Earth" actress Kristen Schaal.

Lapkus, 30, is set to appear in the upcoming musical film "One Shot," about a failed Broadway singer turned production manager played by Topher Grace.

"Conan" airs 10 p.m. weeknights on TBS.
