BRIEF: Estranged wife stabbed in the face; fleeing husband arrested after hitting parked cars, police say

Feb. 19--A man was arrested Thursday afternoon on suspicion of stabbing his estranged wife in the face in North Hollywood and later crashing into three parked cars in Burbank, according to police.

The woman was getting out of her car at the 99 Cents Only store on Victory Boulevard and Vineland Avenue when she was attacked, according to Los Angeles Police Sgt. Catherine Leon.

The man reportedly fled in his car, while she drove herself to Saint Joseph Medical Center, where she was reported in stable condition.

After crashing his Dodge Durango into parked cars in the 3200 block of West Victory Boulevard in Burbank, the man fled on foot but was stopped and held by witnesses in the area, said Burbank Police Sgt. Claudio Losacco.
