BRIEF: ESPN's GameDay headed to Philly for Temple-Notre Dame

Oct. 26--The only meeting of ranked teams on this week's college football schedule will get some special treatment.

ESPN's College GameDay will be in Philadelphia on Saturday to chronicle the clash between No. 9 Notre Dame and No. 22 Temple at Lincoln Financial Field. It will be the second time this season the show will be on hand for a Notre Dame game. GameDay also was present when the Irish fell 24-22 to Clemson in Death Valley on Oct. 3.

The Irish and the Owls will kick off at 7 p.m. Central (ABC-7). Last week, Temple (7-0) was ranked for the first time since 1979. A victory against East Carolina was the program's first as a ranked team since 1941.

The Irish (6-1) return to Pennsylvania on Nov. 7 for what was announced Monday will be an 11 a.m. Central kickoff against No. 23 Pittsburgh (6-1) at Heinz Field. The game will be televised on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.
