May 25--Want to get a sense of what's going down at the 15th Venice Architecture Biennale in 10-second, emoji-filled snippets? Then you need to be following Guardian critic Oliver Wainwright on Snapchat. (His handle is "Olly Wainwright.")
Wainwright has been touring various installations around the Italian city for "Reporting from the Front," the latest iteration of the Biennale, overseen by Pritzker Prize-winning Chilean architect Alejandro Aravena. And as Wainwright has toured, he has been capturing the action via Snapchat -- from the maquettes to the renderings to the full-fledged architectural installations to a smokin' bathroom selfie.
Naturally, Wainwright has a critical evaluation (in words, not emoji) of the Biennale in the works. (You'll find it at this link when it posts.) But in the meantime, you can follow all the design action -- complete with smiley faces and starbursts -- on Wainwright's funny-clever feed.
. Sadly, I am not touring the Venice Architecture Biennale.
