Aug. 16--Fire department and police crews were on the scene of a hazardous materials incident on the Near North Side on Saturday afternoon.
The incident happened at about 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of State Street and Delaware Place, said Officer Nicole Trainor, a spokeswoman for the Chicago Police Department.
Police on the scene said the incident was a gas leak and there were no apparent injuries.
