June 02--Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Tampa, Fla., Mayor Bob Buckhorn have made the typical intercity gastro-wager on the outcome of the Stanley Cup Final between the Chicago Blackhawks and Tampa Bay Lightning.
Emanuel is putting up 122 slices of Eli's cheesecake, a number the mayor's office said was selected for each year of the Stanley Cup. Chicago will also add to the bet a case of craft beer from Slapshot Brewing Co., a Giordano's deep-dish pizza, and mustard fried catfish and peach cobbler from BJ's Market.
Buckhorn has put up a case of Cigar City Invasion Pale Ale, 122 Cuban sandwiches and a "1905 salad" from Columbia Restaurant in Tampa.
Emanuel and Buckhorn also agreed to make a contribution to an organization of the winning mayor's choice.
The Blackhawks and Lightning take the ice Wednesday night in Tampa for the opening game of the finals.
