BRIEF: Elderly couple hospitalized in Southwest Side fire

Feb. 15--An elderly couple were taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation after a fire in the Wrightwood neighborhood on the Southwest Side early Monday, fire officials said.

Fire crews were called to a two-story building in the 7600 block of South Artesian Avenue for a fire on the second floor at about 3:40 a.m. Monday, officials said.

A 79-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman were taken to Holy Cross Hospital in fair-to-serious condition, they said.
