BRIEF: 'Edward Tulane' will begin Children's Theatre's new season

April 02--Chicago Children's Theatre announced its 2015-16 season opener on Thursday. The play is "The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane."

Adapted from Kate Di Camillo's book by Dwayne Hartford, the story is about a rabbit whose adventures take him from faraway seas to familiar American cities.

Jessie Fisher, recently of "Once" on Broadway, will star, and Stuart Carden will direct the production.

"The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane" begins performances on Oct. 20 at the Ruth Page Center for The Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn St., and will continue through Nov. 15. Tickets go on sale April 27.
