March 29--Indie pop band Echosmith is slated to perform for runners and spectators at the finish line festival for the Humana Rock 'n' Roll Chicago Half Marathon in July, race officials announced Tuesday.
The half marathon and 10K, scheduled for July 17, finish in Grant Park and are expected to draw 20,000 runners and thousands of spectators. Local bands play along the course, which winds along the lakefront. The Rock 'n' Roll 5K is also set for July 16 in Grant Park.
Echosmith, which is composed of the Sierota siblings, is best known for its 2013 single "Cool Kids." The concert is free and open to the public.
