Nov. 06--Ducks right wing Corey Perry joined Anaheim captain Ryan Getzlaf in departing Honda Center before Wednesday night's game against the New York Islanders with what a team official said were flu symptoms.
Perry, the NHL's player of the month in October, leads the league with 11 goals, and first-line mate Getzlaf has contributed 14 points (11 assists) for the Ducks (10-3).
Perry participated team's Wednesday morning skate; Getzlaf did not.
The absences are expected to elevate second-line center Ryan Kesler to the first line.
It's the first time Perry and Getzlaf have both been out for the Ducks since March 28, 2008.
