BRIEF: Drones stolen in Costa Mesa store break-in, police say

Feb. 29--Someone broke into a Costa Mesa drone supply store early Monday and made off with several drones, authorities said.

Costa Mesa police responded to a burglary alarm at Aerial Media Pros, at 3175 Airway Ave., just before 2 a.m., said Sgt. Matt Selinske.

When officers arrived they saw that someone had smashed a window and three or four drones valued at a total of $35,000 had been stolen.

Investigators are waiting for the owner to arrive at the business to determine if more merchandise was stolen and to access any surveillance video. No information about the thieves was available early Monday.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Detective Bureau at 714-754-5637.
