BRIEF: Driver rammed Patrick Schwarzenegger's car on purpose, police say

Feb. 17--Los Angeles police are looking for the driver who they say intentionally rammed into a car driven by Patrick Schwarzenegger, the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and boyfriend to pop star Miley Cyrus.

Los Angeles Police Department Capt. John McMahon said Schwarzenegger, 21, was not injured in the crash that occurred last week in Valley Village.

Police said it appeared the driver intentionally rammed into the younger Schwarzenegger's car at about 11 a.m. Feb. 10 at Whitsett Avenue and Riverside Drive. It was not immediately clear what prompted the driver's behavior.

The crash is being investigated as a felony assault with a deadly weapon, McMahon said.

The driver fled before police arrived at the scene and had not been arrested, he said.

Cyrus was not in the car at the time of the crash, the captain said.

Patrick Schwarzenegger is a USC student and model. He's the eldest son of the former California governor and Maria Shriver.
