BRIEF: Driver, 18, killed in fiery crash on 60 Freeway

Jan. 14--An 18-year-old driver was killed in a fiery crash on the 60 Freeway in Industry, the California Highway Patrol said Wednesday.

The man, whose identity hasn't been released, was headed westbound on the 60 east of Fairway Drive about 10:30 p.m. when his Toyota Corolla stalled, according to the CHP.

A van traveling about 70 mph crashed into the back of the Toyota, which became fully engulfed in flames. The van suffered crash and fire damage.

The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene.

The van's driver complained of pain to his right toe, the CHP said in a statement.
