BRIEF: Drink This: Espresso, bourbon and toasted marshmallow collide in the Drunken Monk

Feb. 12--At Rockit Bar Grill in River North, a remedy for the winter blues awaits in the creamy Drunken Monk ($12). The hot coffee cocktail has a dream team of ingredients: Colectivo Coffee Roasters' bittersweet Espresso Toro, smooth Evan Williams bourbon, nutty Frangelico, rich Monin chocolate syrup, steamed milk and a fluffy cloud of toasted marshmallow to top.

The drink's title comes from the Frangelico bottle, which is shaped like a friar, says Rockit's operations manager Ephraim Cuellar -- technically different than a monk because friars don't live in monasteries, but Cuellar and his team thought more customers would get the monk reference. They're not the first to come up with the name (there are recipes for a Frangelico and vodka Drunken Monk floating around the Internet), but the cheeky moniker is a good fit: This cocktail is stronger than it looks. 22 W.
