BRIEF: Downers Grove police pursue report of man taking pictures of girls

Feb. 06--Downers Grove police are investigating a report of a man taking pictures of two girls playing in a front yard Tuesday afternoon.

A press release said a man driving a minivan in the area of 35th Street and Highland Avenue stopped and took pictures of the girls about 4:50 p.m. There was no contact made between the girls and the driver, police said.

The driver is described as a white man, in his 20s or early 30s, driving an older model minivan with black rims and a black luggage carrier.

Dave Bormann, public information officer, said patrols have been increased at all parks and schools.

Police also have released a sketch of a possible suspect.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Police Department at 630-434-5600.
