BRIEF: Donnie Wahlberg endorses Marco Rubio, joins him on campaign trail

Feb. 22--"Blue Bloods" star Donnie Wahlberg endorsed Florida Sen. Marco Rubio for president before joining him Sunday at a Nevada rally.

"I've never voted for a Republican presidential candidate, that is until this year, thanks to Marco Rubio," Wahlberg said at the North Las Vegas campaign event.

This is not Wahlberg's first foray into this presidential race. In November, Wahlberg called Carly Fiorina "the most passionate, trustworthy and accountable, of all 2016 candidates, (GOP or Dem) and it's not even close." Fiorina ended her presidential bid earlier this month.

Wahlberg, who lives in St. Charles, is married to comedian Jenny McCarthy. The third season of their reality show "Donnie Loves Jenny" is scheduled to premiere 9 p.m. March 16 on A

Nevada's Republican caucus is set for Tuesday.
