Dec. 05--A 57-year-old woman is recovering at a hospital after being attacked by a dog and seriously hurt in the Jeffrey Manor neighborhood Thursday morning, authorities said.
The dog, possibly a German shepherd, attacked the woman about 11:10 a.m. in the 9700 block of South Merrill Avenue, according to police.
The woman suffered "several bites' including possibly to both ears. She got herself to Advocate Trintiy Hospital but was later moved to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
