Jan. 01--A 79-year-old Des Plaines man who had been missing for almost two weeks was found in good condition at a local motel, Cook County sheriff's officials said Friday.
William R. Anderson, 79, who was last seen on Dec. 17 in his home in unincorporated Des Plaines, was found Thursday by Morton Grove police at a motel in the 9100 block of Waukegan Road, Cook County sheriff's office spokeswoman Sophia Ansari said.
Ansari said Anderson was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
"He appears to be fine," she said. "This is a good start to the new year."
