Jan. 28--Derrick Rose will return for Thursday's game against the Lakers after exiting Monday's loss with a sore right hamstring and lower back.
"I feel good," Rose said. "It was just the smart decision."
The Bulls also will return E'Twaun Moore, who has been sidelined with his own hamstring issue.
But the Bulls begin a seven-game trip without Nikola Mirotic, who underwent an appendectomy Wednesday in Chicago.
Coach Fred Hoiberg said the Bulls may use smaller lineups featuring Doug McDermott and Jimmy Butler as reserve power forwards after Mirotic's injury piled on top of Joakim Noah's.
Hoiberg also said Kirk Hinrich, out since Jan. 15 with a left quad contusion, could be back Sunday for a matinee against the Clippers.
