Sept. 30--Derrick Rose suffered a left orbital fracture during the Bulls' first practice of training camp and will undergo a surgical procedure on Wednesday to repair the injury.
A timetable for his return to action will be determined following the procedure.
Rose took an accidental elbow to his face which caused him to leave the practice early. It's yet another setback for the beleaguered Bulls' guard.
Teammates weren't sure how the injury happened.
"Might have been me," Taj Gibson said. "Hopefully it'll be fine. He's tough. It's one of those plays where everybody's going hard."
