BRIEF: Derrick Rose, Taj Gibson expected to return for Bulls

Dec. 21--Taj Gibson practiced fully Sunday and Derrick Rose partially and both players are expected to return for the Chicago Bulls before Monday's home game against the Toronto Raptors.

Both players missed two games. Gibson had a sore right ankle. Rose was ill.

"Feeling a lot better," Rose said. "Getting my energy back. Was fatigued the last couple days. Just trying to fight off this little sickness that I have.

"I ran through a couple plays, shot before practice a little bit. Trying not to overdo it and make sure I get some energy."

Asked about his chances of playing, Rose said he was "going to try to go."

"See how I feel in the morning, go through walkthrough and hopefully be playing."

Rose isn't frustrated by his latest setback.

"Not at all. The sickness probably came from me being around my son. He was sick. Something I probably caught from him. I'll take that any day. Just spend time with my son," Rose said. "I think it comes with the territory of just being around a sick kid and something I gotta live with."
