Feb. 25--Derrick Rose was a late scratch Wednesday against the Wizards with right hamstring tendinitis.
The oft-injured guard, who is on pace to play 70 games this season, said he first felt soreness during Tuesday's practice in an area that has sidelined him other games this season. It worsened overnight.
"Just reading my body," Rose said.
Rose, enjoying one of his better stretches this season, long ago made clear he won't listen to outside pressure on whether to play through minor soreness.
Meanwhile, Pau Gasol started despite missing Tuesday's practice with the flu and arriving at the arena Wednesday looking haggard.
